DuPage County Police Association
2009 Christmas Hospital Toy Run

On Friday, December 18, 2009 members of the DuPage County Police Association braved the weather to visit children
and hand out toys and gifts at Edward Hospital in Naperville, Central DuPage Hospital in Winfield, Elmhurst Hospital,
Hinsdale Hospital, and Good Samaritan Hospital in Downers Grove. Continuing a tradition originally begun in 1962, the
event was sponsored by the McDonald's Corporation of Oak Brook, which arranged for the bus from Chicago Mini Bus
Travel
, and lunch for all participants in their executive dining room in Oak Brook.

Joining the group this year was Sponge Bob Square Pants (Marc Delise, Oak Brook PD Retired), Santa Claus (George
Pradel, Naperville PD Retired & current Mayor), and Ronald McDonald. This year we had not one, but two police K-9 units. Special thanks goes to Warrenville Police
Officer Matt Komar and his dog "Bandit," and Darien Police Officer Rich Stutte
and his dog "Rolf". Everyone had a great time
helping to deliver toys and gifts to the children.

A total of 15 active and retired DPA members representing ten different law enforcement agencies participated in the
event, along with representatives from the McDonald's Corporation, Chicago Mini Bus Travel, and the ChicagoWhite Sox.
Thanks to everyone who participated in this event, which included; Al Borkovec (Oak Brook PD Retired), Marc Delise, (Oak Brook PD Retired), Dave Hoffman, (Naperville PD), George Pradel (Naperville PD Retired), John Bright (Westmont PD Retired) Rich Willing (Carol Stream PD Retired), Frank Hoffman (DuPage County SO Retired), Wayne Loster, (Wheaton PD Retired), Kim Loster, Wheaton PD, Matt Komar & "Bandit," (Warrenville PD), Mark Tobias (Glen Ellyn PD Retired) and his daughter Chrissy, Rich Stutte & "Rolf," (Darien PD), Ray Jagman, (Downers Grove PD), Steve Edwards (Naperville), Rich Rowe (Naperville PD Retired), and Al Pierce (Naperville PD Retired). A very special thanks to Cory Keith, Dennis Quilles, and Catherine Choffin of McDonald's Corporation, Joyce Wagner, Letty Hudson, and Lincoln Leaky of Chicago Mini Bus Travel, and Amanda Willing of the Chicago White Sox.
