All the turkeys arrived on schedule, and the usual high tech security measures were implemented to ensure none of them escaped!

VALOR AWARDS AND CERTIFICATE OF HONORABLE MENTION PRESENTATIONS
For the very first time ever, the DPA awarded the Civilian Award of Bravery to Kari T. Paulson and Anthony Sproviro for their actions in rescuing a DuPage County deputy from a burning squad car on
October 6, 2002.

DuPage Co. Sheriff's Dept. Sergeant Robert Lesner and Deputy Edward Sokasits receiving Certificates of Honorable Mention

A Certificate of Honorable Mention was awarded to DuPage County Sheriff's Dept. Deputy Don Knight for his actions in saving a child who had fallen through an ice covered pond on January 27, 2002.

The 2002 DuPage County Police Association Valor Award was presented to DuPage County Sheriff's Dept. Deputies Lance Todd and Angela Conn for their off-duty actions in rescuing two people from a car in a pond near Eola Rd. & Diehl Rd. on February 26, 2002. Click here for event narrative.

DONATIONS

Donations totaling $800 in cash were made by members in attendance to fund
toys for the DPA Christmas Hospital Run to be held December 20, 2002.
